The ‘Thomas’ Lincoln Unveiling

Hosted by Thomas & Associates
Unveiled by legendary entertainer and artist Tony Bennett

QUE_0024_03A Star-studded cocktail reception to mark the unveiling of the most significant
contemporary sculpture of Abraham Lincoln was held on April 4, 2013 at the New York Historical Society Museum & Library. QUE Productions was honored to have been chosen to document this historic event, paying tribute to the legacy of this American President.

The Sculpture is the work of Artist Frank Porcu, a painter, sculptor, and anatomist who earned a B.F.A. from Pratt Institute and an M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art. The Sculpture was commissioned by Shawn Thomas, CPA, a collector of extraordinary historical artifacts. Thomas’s goal was to “truly capture the essence of the man… determined and powerful”.

Renowned Lincoln authority and author, Howard Holzer began the introductions and was followed by legendary entertainer and artist Tony Bennett.

“This is really a virtuoso performance by a sculptor… it is distinctive and beautifully crafted,” said Holzer.

Additional guests included singer Judy Collins, designer Louis Nelson, writer Gay Talese, editor Nan Talese, media magnate Sumner Redstone and actor Andre De Shields. Additional highlights included music by The Excelsior Cornet Band and Performances by the Choir from Frank Sinatra School for the arts.

The Sculpture will be on display at the museum for a limited time.

Viral Advertising: Where Does Your Brand Stack Up?

Remember the days when a commercial break automatically had you reaching for the remote to switch channels? So why have branded video ads attracted more than 800 million views–this year alone?

Admit it. You click.

Maybe you’re one of the 6 million who watched this and sent the link to your friends.

Or maybe you posted this on Facebook. Twenty-three million watched that one.

Old Spice and T-Mobile?  They’re ecstatic with the results.

CNN says mainstream advertisers are only starting to wake up to the potential of viral advertising as a big-time marketing tool. Spending for online video advertising is $1.97 billion this year, according to the media analysis firm Visible Measures, and the company predicts that number will rise to nearly $6 billion in 2014.  There’s even a weekly Top 10 Viral Video Ad chart chronicling the top-performing brand-driven campaigns.  That’s how important viral videos have become.

Old Spice and T-Mobile may have had big budgets, but viral advertising is really about big concepts.  I know because we’ve helped companies of all sizes and on a variety of budgets get people’s attention on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. Getting a message to go viral is about engaging the viewer, developing a relationship, optimizing the video for search engines and driving people to talk about it.

So where does your brand stack up?  Do you have the market’s attention?
Are consumers texting, Tweeting and posting your ads?

Let’s talk about how QUE Productions can get the market talking about your business.

Video SEO: Getting it Right

Videos, properly submitted, are more likely to generate a first page Google ranking than traditional SEO techniques. However, many companies are ignoring video SEO altogether, only submitting the pages on which videos reside and not the videos themselves.

Video SEO is a powerful tool, and should be part of the marketing arsenal of all online publishers. However, successful indexing requires a specific implementation for each individual search engine, and can best be enhanced by submitting videos and pages in parallel.

Your video can be a powerful enabler, but it’s crucial to make sure that links will point back to your website, ensuring traffic arrives at your destination. Done right, video SEO can increase search engine performance and provide a powerful new marketing tool for your organization.

When a video thumb is served in a search engine results page, the way people interact with that page changes. A video result in position 4 or 5 may get a better click through rate than a non-video result in position 2 or 3. Video adds a whole lot of value, so the chances of it being included and getting clicks are high.

As search engine results continue to become more diverse, and the devices on which people search more suited to rich content.  Video offers a potential benefit for nearly every business.
